CPD is an abbreviation of Continuing Professional Development, and it is intended to continuously improve professional and broad knowledge and skills for professionals who mainly require expertise in knowledge and skills. In other words, it is the continual improvement and exploration of professional knowledge and competence related to one's work to optimize an individual's career opportunities now and in the future.

Certification auditors are required to continuously maintain and improve their competence in accordance with the requirements of ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021-1, and CPD is required in various fields such as medical workers, technicians, and accountants.

In accordance with the Guidelines for auditing management systems (ISO 19011), auditors are required to maintain their audit competence through regular participation in management system audits and continuing professional development. Additional work experience, training, self-study, coaching, participation at meetings, seminars and conferences, or other related activities can help maintain and improve audit competence, and continuing professional development should consider the following :

  • •  Changes in the needs of the individual and the organization responsible for the conduct of the audit
  • •  Developments in the practice of auditing including the use of technology
  • •  Relevant standards including guidance/supporting documents and other requirements
  • •  Changes in sector or disciplines
The need for CPD< The need for CPD >

The requirements for auditor recertification of GPC are as follows.

  • •  Auditor log of 10M/D or higher for 3 years
  • •  CPD history of 16 hours or more in 3 years

Activities recognized as CPD history include training, seminars, workshops, and conferences at accredited organizations that deal with content related to the standard.

In order to prove participation in this activity, it is required to submit materials such as participation certificates and certificates of completion.
