Management System Certification Audit
Management System Certification Audit means that a third-party conformity assessment body independent of the organization evaluates and certifies that the organization has established and implemented the management system required by the relevant standard. Such a third-party conformity assessment body is called a Management System Certification Body, and the certification body provides management system audit and certification services in accordance with ISO/IEC 17021-1 and ISO 19011.
The management system certification process proceeds as follows.
- 1. Application for initial certification
- 2. Initial certification planning
- 3. Conduct certification audit
- 4. Certification decision
In general, the management system certification cycle is 3 years. After the certification decision, surveillance audits are conducted in the 1st and 2nd years, and recertification audits are carried out in the 3rd year before the certification expires.
Management System Certification Auditor
Management System Certification Auditor is a person who conducts an audit in the management system certification process and leads the entire process from document review to on-site audit and report writing and decides whether the organization is certified. The certification body establishes an appropriate evaluation method to evaluate auditors, and the competency of auditors can be acquired by utilizing the following.
- • Completion of an educational training program covering general auditor knowledge and skills
- • Experience in related technical, managerial, or professional positions, including judgment, decision-making, problem solving, and communication with managers, experts, colleagues, customers, and other relevant stakeholders
- • Education/training and experience in specific management system fields and sectors that contribute to overall competency development
- • Audit experience acquired under the supervision of an auditor in the same field
GPC auditor certification
GPC provides ISO management system certification auditor competence evaluation and certification services.
The auditors defined by the GPC are :
- Provisional Auditor : A person who is qualified to assist in the audit activities as a member of the audit team.
- Auditor : A person who can perform audit activities as a member of the audit team
- Lead auditor : A person who can perform audit activities as an audit team leader
In addition, if the following competence requirements are met, the auditor certification can be obtained after GPC's certification process.
- Graduation of secondary education
- Completion of ISO Auditor/Lead Auditor training at an accredited institution within 3 years
- Work experience of 5 years (including at least 2 years of experience in the quality or environmental filed of the application standard)
- Audit log of at least 20M/D within 3 years
- Pass knowledge and attribution examination of GPC

- NextManagement System Internal Auditor 22.04.04
