ISO 22301
ISO 22301 is an international standard that stipulates the requirements of a business continuity system. The purpose of ISO 22301 is to prevent, respond to, and recover from disruptions caused by unforeseen circumstances in operating a business, thereby helping businesses to continue their business in times of crisis.
ISO 22301 was first enacted in 2012 and revised in 2019 to continue to meet the needs of the changing market.
Difference after transition from ISO 22301:2012 to ISO 22301:2019
- • Relevant languages and terms have been modified to improve clarity and reflect today's thinking.
- • By changing some requirements to be non- prescriptive, organization can adopt an organization contextual approach.
- • ISO 22301 can be compatible with other ISO management system standards using High Level Structure (HLS).
“ISO 22301 Auditor” registration requirement of GPC
- Education level beyond secondary graduation
- Over 5 years of work experience (including at least 2 years of experience related to business continuity management)
- Completion of ISO 22301 Auditor/Lead Auditor training
- Pass knowledge and attribution examination of GPC
- Audit log of at least 20M/D within 3 years
Transition registration from ISO 22301:2012 to ISO 22301:2019
Transition registration is possible if submit the ‘completion of training’ of newly revised ISO 22301:2019.
